Liverpool boss Arne Slot has admitted his side played to their opponents’ advantage after their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle in the final.

Liverpool failed to secure their first trophy of the season in the Carabao Cup after falling to a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle in the final on Sunday.

“It’s true, it’s a disappointing ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี result and a disappointing performance, completely different to what I felt in the game against Paris Saint-Germain.”

“Losing two games in a row is something I think we’ve never experienced before, but Paris Saint-Germain and this final against Newcastle are two very good teams with their own style.”

“The game was as slow as they wanted, full of one-on-ones and aerial duels.”

“If we played 10 games with that kind of high ball, they would win nine of them. It gave them the first goal and the second was a header that they beat the far post before falling to Isak and making it 2-0.”

“Normally in a game like this in the end of the first half and in the second half it opens up a bit more but we gave them the positive mindset of being 1-0 up and not long after the break they made it 2-0.

“Then, they’re just going to fight harder for every ball and we did have one or two chances but altogether Newcastle deserved the win.”
