‘Amorim’ says he only wants people with heart to sign for the Red Devils

Ruben Amorim has suggested that Manchester United may not sign Viktor Yökeres this summer, adding that he only wants players who want to play for the badge.

The 26-year-old has scored 52 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 games this season, making him a target for a number of top sides, particularly United, who have been heavily linked since Amorim took over.

Although he has a release clause in his contract worth around £85million, Sporting would be open to negotiations for a move between £55m and £70m.

However, Amorim has signalled that United may not be able to land the Swede because the player himself wants to play in the Champions League, although it is unclear whether they will be granted that right now.

Speaking ahead of the Europa League semi-final first leg against สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน Athletic Bilbao, Amorim said: “The Yökeres deal? I haven’t spoken to him. “

But if a player wants to come to United just to play in the Champions League, then he shouldn’t come. We need players who want to play for Manchester United, not just in competitions.”

United are currently 14th in the Premier League but are still in contention for a Champions League place if they win the Europa League, with their first leg at Athletic Bilbao on Thursday before the return leg at home next week.
